Winter boots

Is it to early to look for winter boots? We are after all in autumn now! Although I do feel like we haven’t really had a summer… my poor summer dresses have had very few outings this summer. Good job I have booked a holiday! I am one of those girls that lives in flip flops from March to October then my toes hide in boots all winter. Teaming them with dresses or skirts and thick tights.

Every year I go through the dreaded hunt of finding a nice pair of winter boots. They have to have…
  1.  A nice size heel, to make you legs look good and you feel good.
  2.  Classic shape that will go with everything.
  3.  Chocolate brown in colour
  4.  Leather with zip opening.

Last year I found a lush pair, which I lived in, but one trip out on my Dads motorbike early summer and one of the heels came loose. So they got put on the side to be mended…until one afternoon a tub of white spirit leaked all over them and the colour has now gone…so they sadly went out and now the hunt is on!

I am super picky with boots and I will not invest in a good pair till I love them!  Don’t worry I own other fab boots, the nice wedged fly ones, the over the knee sluty ones, and the comfy Celtic sheepskin ones… but there is now a gap waiting to be filled in the boot line up!

Here are a few other lovely boots I have spotted on my hunt, none of them are the sort of boots I was initally looking for but they are all kinda cute! I think I may ‘need’ a nice pair of flat boots too?!

 Nice wedge from celtic-sheepskin.co.uk

These practical but cute boots from celtic-sheepskin.co.uk

Easy wearable boots from Miss selfridge

Love these from Chloe... But I wonder if I brought a pair of tall boots and got some super sharp knife with a bit of time could I do this myself ? The cut out detail just makes these boots but they are from 2010, and would have cost an arm and a leg!

Linking in with the studded trend, boots from Dorothy perkins.

Well I will keep my eyes peeled for the right boots and let you know how I get on.
